Kantara Chapter 1 box office Day 4: Rishab Shetty starrer close to earning Rs 300 crore worldwide

Kantara: Chapter 1 is creating new record at the global box office

Rishab Shetty starrer 'Kantara: Chapter 1' is all set to collect a whopping Rs 300 crore at the box office after a strong four-day run in theatres.

'Kantara: Chapter 1' has been smashing records and captivating the audiences across the globe.

Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth starrer is produced by Hombale Films and written and directed by the actor himself.

'Kantara: Chapter 1' had grossed a whopping Rs 235+ crore in the three days of its run across the world and has firmly established itself as a huge blockbuster.

On the first day, the movie collected a massive Rs 88 crore gross, though Kantara saw a dip the next day with Rs 65 crore, it saw an upward trend again on Weekend .

There was a 25 per cent jump in its collections on Saturday and Sunday. It collected Rs 82 crore, on Saturday and is now standing at Rs 235 crore worldwide in the first three days.

According to a tracking website, 'Kantara: Chapter 1' has managed to collect a good amount of Rs 61.5 crore nett (gross minus taxes) on Sunday hence taking it close to the Rs 300 crore mark.

If it continues at this pace, the movie is likely to cross Rs 300 crore mark today.

'Kantara Chapter 1', which released on October 2, showcases  the mystical world that is rooted in folklore.

The film had also received rave reviews from critics and it has also been praised by fans for its breathtaking visuals.

Storyline

Kantara: Chapter 1 is set in the 4th Century AD and it shows the sacred origins of the mystical land of Kantara.

This movie explores the rich mythology, age-old conflicts, and divine interventions. It weaves a saga of folklore, faith, born from the very soil of Kantara.

It also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Sapthami owda, Gulshan Devaiah,  PD Satish Chandra, Prakash Thuminad and others.

The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films.

Cinematography is done by Arvind S. Kashyap and music is by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. They were also a part of  first movie, which released in 2022. Kantara: Chapter 1 released worldwide on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra.
