NTR and Prashanth Neel created a lot of buzz on the internet with the announcement of their upcoming film, temporarily titled #NTRNeel. Fans were expecting a major update on the film on NTR’s 42nd birthday, which he will celebrate on May 20.

However, the official X account of the upcoming film recently disappointed fans with the latest announcement. The film’s team revealed that they have changed the plans of releasing a video glimpse and announcing the official title.

Prashanth Neel revealed that the team has decided to opt out of releasing a big video for NTR's birthday, as his film War 2 is set to release in August, and he wanted it to have undivided attention, stepping aside to avoid any potential distraction.

The official tweet reads, “Dear fans, We know how eager you are to celebrate the Man who’s given us countless reasons to cheer…”

The statement continues, “With the #WAR2 content releasing, We felt it’s best to give it its moment and save the #NTRNeel MASS MISSILE Glimpse for later… We’re fully giving this year’s Man of Masses @Tarak9999 birthday celebrations to #War2.”

The actor teased, “Hey @tarak9999, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready?” War 2 also features Kiara Advani in the pivotal role.

Meanwhile, the action drama, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is tentatively considered to be titled Dragon and has recently wrapped up a key sequence in Karnataka, featuring NTR in an intense fight scene. #NTRNeel will arrive in theatres in June 2026. The film has Ravi Basrur’s music.
