Ektaa Kapoor has officially brought back one of Indian television’s most enduring franchises. After an 18-month break, the producer announced Season 7 of Naagin with a fresh promo, promising new twists, new faces, and a storyline designed to keep fans hooked.

Ekta Kapoor took to Instagram to reveal the big news, directly addressing the show’s passionate audience. “Do all my darling Naagin fans, out of all my shows you guys are the most loyal and probably troll me the most! So for all you guys here it is NAAGIN7,” she wrote, adding that a promo for the upcoming season is now live. Her playful acknowledgment highlights the love-hate bond the franchise shares with its massive fan base.

Back in May, Ekta Kapoor had already teased viewers with behind-the-scenes glimpses of brainstorming sessions for the new season. Sharing a clip from her office, she had reassured fans: “Guys, trust me we are working very hard.” That reassurance seems to have paid off, with excitement building around the official announcement.

Casting details are still under wraps, though speculation has been buzzing on social media. Actor Avinash Mishra, currently seen in Pyaar Sey Bandhe Rishte on Balaji Telefilms’ YouTube channel, was rumored to be joining the ensemble. When asked about it, Mishra told Zoom he could not confirm but didn’t dismiss the possibility. “Let’s see if it happens; you will get to know. If I get a chance, I will definitely explore the supernatural genre. I am ready to become a vampire,” he said.

Since its launch in 2015, Naagin has become a cultural phenomenon on Indian television. Known for weaving together fantasy, drama, and revenge, the show turned into a cult franchise with stars like Mouni Roy, Adaa Khan, Surbhi Jyoti, Nia Sharma, and Tejasswi Prakash making their mark in iconic serpent roles. Each season has managed to balance campy supernatural elements with melodrama, creating a template that continues to attract massive TRPs and social media chatter.

With Naagin 7, Ekta Kapoor is betting on the same formula of reinvention that has sustained the franchise for nearly a decade. The wait has been long, but for the fans who have kept the series alive through memes, debates, and loyalty, the return of the supernatural saga signals yet another chapter of spectacle and surprises on prime-time television.
