with a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Punjabi singer, Amar Singh
Chamkila. Singh's homage to Chamkila, known for his influential
contributions to Punjabi folk music, added a poignant touch to the

At the same concert, Arijit also encountered an unexpected moment when
he failed to recognise Pakistani actress Mahira Khan seated among theaudiences. Ironically Arijit was singing the song 'Zaalima' from
'Raees' that was picturised on Mahira Khan. Apologising for not
recognising the actress who was seated in the front row, Arijit said,
"You guys must be surprised, should I reveal? I should reveal it in a
very nice way. Can we have the camera there? I was trying to recognise
this person, then remembered I had sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen
Mahira Khan is sitting right in front of me. Think about it, I was
singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and
standing and I couldn’t recognise her. I am so sorry, ma'am. Gratitude
and thank you so much.”
