Arpita Khan shares unseen family photo as she wishes father Salim Khan on his 90th birthday: "You are our Galaxy"

One of Bollywood’s most respected writers, Salim Khan, celebrates his 90th birthday on November 24, 2025. Marking the occasion, his daughter Arpita Khan shared a warm family picture along with a heartfelt note dedicated to him.

Arpita posted the photo on Instagram on November 24, featuring Salim Khan, his first wife Salma, Arpita, her husband Ayush Sharma, and their two children — Ahil and Ayat.

Her caption read, "Happiest 90th Birthday Daddy, we are truly blessed to celebrate you today & everyday. You are a living legend, & we are your legacy. Thank you for being the wind beneath our wings, thank you for being the calm in a storm, thank you for being the strength we all need, thank you for teaching us the values of family & thank you for always being our safe place. You are our Galaxy. Love you forever & ever."

Salim Khan, the creative force behind many iconic Bollywood films, turns 90 today. He is widely acknowledged for transforming Hindi cinema in the 1970s with his powerful screenwriting. In addition to being a legendary writer, he also worked as an actor and producer, leaving an unshakable legacy in the industry.

Alongside his writing partner Javed Akhtar, famously known together as the Salim-Javed duo, he delivered numerous acclaimed films that continue to be celebrated.

Speaking of his personal life, Salim Khan fell in love with actress and dancer Helen, and the two married in 1981 without him divorcing his first wife, Salma. He first met Helen while working on the 1979 film Kabil Khan, where she played the lead and he appeared as the antagonist. Their bond grew stronger while they worked together on the 1978 film Don, eventually turning into a lifelong relationship.

For those who may not know, Salim Khan and Helen do not have biological children together; they adopted Arpita Khan in the late 1980s.
