Nitesh Tiwari (left), who is directing the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana is unhappy with the leaked phone images from the film's shooting and has ordered a no-phone policy on the set.

A few days ago some pictures of Ranbir Kapoor were leaked from the sets of his upcoming mythological saga "Ramayana" and after the images went viral, director Nitesh Tiwari has imposed a strict no-phone on the sets policy.

'Ramayana' will have Sai Pallavi play the role of Maa Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who will be playing the role of Lord Rama.

The film's shoot began just a few days ago and some pictures of the actors in their onscreen costumes got leaked.

According to a report published in India Today, director Nitesh Tiwari is upset with the leaked images and has now asked for a no-phone policy on the sets to avoid any such good up in future and build up anticipation and interest in the movie.

The report further suggested that Nitesh Tiwari has asked the makers to keep extra staff away from the sets and restrict themselves to only close staff and crew members on the sets of the movie "Ramayana."

Nitesh has further requested that only technicians and actors should be on the sets during the shoot and others should be denied permission completely.

Last week, the looks of Arun Govil (who had played the role of Lord Ram in the original Ramayan directed by Ramanand Sagar in the '90s) and Lara Dutta, who will be playing the role of Kaikeyi were leaked and after that such a strict decision was taken.

The director wants people to see Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Ram look only on the screens or through first official posters. He wants the audience to get the feel of it through the right channels.

Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen on screen in the hit movie "Animal", is currently sporting a clean shave look which many anticipate is for Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana." He is yet to start shooting for the movie and currently he is taking training for archery which is the mainstay of the mythological saga.

Reports are that actress Indira Krishnan, who is currently seen playing the role of Rajmata Durgavati in TV show "Dhruv Tara - Samay Sadi Se Par", has been finalised to play Mata Kaushalya in the movie.

Indira had also shared a selfie with Ranbir Kapoor a week ago where she wrote: "Ahaaaa look whose here.....RK my all time
Grateful thankful joyful 2024......
Finally a selfie with him ..."

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi as Lord Rama and Sita Maa, KGF actor Yash will be seen in the role of Rakshas Raj Ravana in the "Ramayana". The movie is slated to release on Diwali 2025.
