Kashmera Shah wants Govinda to come for Arti Singh's wedding, says, 'he is my father-in-law, I'll touch his feet if he comes'

Kashmera Shah is keen for Govinda to attend Arti Singh's wedding, saying she will show her respect by touching his feet if he comes.

Arti Singh's upcoming wedding is set to be a grand event filled with music and dancing, with a family reunion expected as Govinda, the actor, might attend. Kashmera Shah, married to Govinda’s nephew Krushna Abhishek, is looking forward to reconnecting with her 'father-in-law' at the wedding.

For those who may not know, there has been a longstanding rift between Govinda and Krushna Abhishek. However, Kashmera believes the wedding could be a chance to put aside past grievances. She told a portal, "It’s a happy occasion for the family, and we will welcome him with open arms. I am his daughter-in-law. I will be meeting my father-in-law at the wedding and will greet him by touching his feet," she explained. She also noted, "Arti has nothing to do with our past issues. These things happen in a family, but we still love each other."

Addressing the question of Govinda’s attendance, Kashmera added, "We are looking forward to welcoming him at the wedding. We will do so very respectfully. As is the tradition, I will touch his feet. He might have a problem with Krushna and me, but Arti is not involved, so we think he will come."

Kashmera shared her emotions: "It is surely an emotional moment for us. We all got so emotional, even during the Haldi rituals, we were teary-eyed. I've known Arti for almost eighteen years, and it’s wonderful to see her get married to such a decent man. Yet, it’s bittersweet as she's leaving to start her new life as someone’s wife."

Arti is set to marry businessman Deepak Chauhan on April 25 in Mumbai. Kashmera has also recently hosted a bridal shower for Arti, kicking off the wedding celebrations.
