Kalki 2898 AD first day advance booking grosses over Rs 5 crore, crashes Bookmyshow

As per Sacnilk reports, the advance bookings for Kalki 2898 AD all over India collected Rs 5.11 crore from 180415 tickets sold for as many as 2999 shows.

Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD’s release is right around the corner. The anticipation of the film is at its peak. The first day advance bookings indicate that Kalki 2898 AD will be off to a flying start.

After the bookings opened, Bookmyshow reported that more than 36,000 tickets were sold in 60 minutes. Within seconds, all the tickets available for the shows in Telangana were sold out. The Prabhas starrer film has reportedly already earned over $2.7 million within 9 days of its advance bookings opening up in the USA.

Prathyangira Cinemas, who is distributing the film in North America, wrote, “77,777+ tickets sold in North America. Prabhas is taking the box office by storm with audience flocking to see the Rebel Star in action in 3 more days.”

As per Sacnilk reports, the advance bookings for Kalki 2898 AD all over India collected Rs 5.11 crore from 180415 tickets sold for as many as 2999 shows. Data suggests that as many as 121 out of 244 are almost full in Hyderabad. In Bengaluru, the film has earned over Rs 50 lakh with over 13,000 tickets sold. The Deepika Padukone starrer is also seeing incredible numbers in Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai, and more.

Advance booking numbers show that the science fiction film has already sold over Rs 1.81 lakh tickets across the nation. It is also the first Indian film to open across 210 Imax screens. Kalki 2898 AD will also release in a 3D version.

The Kalki 2898 AD pre-release event was held in Mumbai recently. The event was attended by the cast including Amitabh Bachchan.

Kamal Haasan spoke about his role in the film as Supreme Yaskin, “I always wanted to play a bad man. But I’m almost like a sage in the film, with a bad idea. I didn’t want to be pregnant in the film. (pointing at Deepika Padukone) We tried out various looks, and we finally arrived at an acceptable look for him.”
