Singham actor Prakash Raj was an early voter today in Bengaluru (April 26) and he also took this opportunity to ask his followers and the general public to go and vote.

He showed his inked finger and made a video appeal to the public. In the video he says that he has 'voted for change.'

A look at what he said: "Hi guys, Hi voter, I have voted for change, I have voted against hate. I have voted for a representative who I believe will be my voice in the Parliament. Please go and vote and make change."

Another actress Neha Sharma was in Bhagalpur, Bihar and she was also seen outside a polling booth. While talking to reporters, Neha said it is a very important day today as it is the day to vote. Not only in Bhagalpur but also other areas and I would request people to come out and vote. She said in Bhagalpur only janta will win."

Neha Sharma's father, Ajit Sharma, is a contestant from the Congress ticket in Bhagalpur district.

When asked about how campaigning for her father went, she said: "I had a one on one interaction with the janta and not social media. I am grateful for the love with them and soul connection with Bhagalpur is great."

Bhagalpur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 40 Lok Sabha (Parliamentary) constituencies in the state of Bihar. The total number of electors in this constituency in 2019 was 1823820 according to the Election Commission of India.

It is a General category Parliamentary seat, i.e., not reserved for any specific category. It comprises part of Bhagalpur district. The literacy rate is around 63.14%.

The assembly constituencies within this Lok Sabha constituency consist of Bihpur, Gopalpur, Pirpainti (SC), Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Nathnagar.

In the last four Lok Sabha elections, Bhagalpur witnessed varied political representation. CPM’s Subodh Ray emerged victorious in 1999 but was defeated by Sushil Kumar Modi of the BJP in 2004. BJP’s Syed Shahnawaz Hussain secured victory in the 2006 bye-poll and retained the seat until 2014 when he lost to RJD’s Shailesh Kumar Urph Bulo Mandal. In 2019, Ajay Kumar Mandal from JD(U) emerged as the victor.
