Model and actor Nitin Chauhan says 'I'm Alive' as his pic circulates with RIP messages', after death of TV actor Nitin Chauhan 

Television actor Nitin Chauhaan, known for his roles in reality shows like Crime Patrol and MTV Splitsvilla, was found deceased at his home in Goregaon East on the night of November 6. Authorities have reported the incident as a suicide.

Following the tragic news, an actor and model named Nitin Chauhan, who is different from the late Nitin Chauhaan, took to social media to address the confusion. He clarified that he is alive as some media outlets mistakenly used his picture in reports about the death of the other Nitin Chauhaan. Troubled by the mix-up, Nitin posted on his official Instagram to call out the mistake, expressing that the use of his photo in an obituary for another person had caused distress to his family.

In the shared video, Nitin visibly shaken by the incident, expressed his disappointment saying, "I extend my deepest condolences to the friends and family of Nitin Chauhaan on his passing. May Nitin rest in peace, and may his family find the strength to cope with the tragedy of his loss. It is imperative that social media and news sources are held accountable for the posting and dissemination of false information. Identifying two different individuals as the same person is highly irresponsible and has negatively impacted two families. All posts and media that include images of me stating “RIP” are false, as I am very much alive."

Chauhan added, "Please share this video to help stop the continued circulation of misinformation. All incorrect news and media, as well as any images or content suggesting my passing, must be retracted and removed from circulation immediately."
