Mirzapur's Divyenndu set for Telugu debut alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in RC 16

Mirzapur fame, Divyenndu, famous for his role as Munna Bhaiyaa, is making his Telugu cinema debut alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.

On Saturday, director Buchi Babu Sana took to social media to officially welcome Divyenndu onboard the project.

The film is currently untitled and is being referred to as RC 16.

Production house Vriddhi Cinemas shared Divyenndu's casting announcement in an Instagram post.  The caption read, "Our favourite 'Munna Bhayya' will light up the big screens in a spectacular role tailor-made for him,

RC 16 began its first schedule in Mysore on November 22, with key scenes being filmed. Fans are eagerly anticipating the collaboration between Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana, renowned for his blockbuster Uppena.

Produced by Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, this Pan-India upcoming film also stars Kannada superstar, Shiva Rajkumar, with AR Rahman composing the music.

This marks Janhvi Kapoor's second film after her debut in Devara with Jr NTR. Devara performed well at the box office but garnered mixed reviews from critics.

Divyenndu will next appear in the action thriller Agni, set to premiere on Prime Video on December 6. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment in association with Amazon MGM Studios, the film also stars Pratik Gandhi, Jitendra Joshi, Saiyami Kher, and Kabir Shah in lead roles.

Divyenndu also featured in a significant role in The Railway Men, starring R. Madhavan. His notable filmography includes Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
