Anil Arora, the father of actresses Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, tragically died by suicide on Wednesday afternoon in Mumbai. According to reports from the Mumbai Police, he jumped from the balcony of his residence in Bandra. Anil Arora's ex-wife, Joyce Polycarp, told police that they had reunited and were living together again.

According to sources, in her statement to the police, Malaika and Amrita Arora's mother, Joyce Polycarp, provided details about the tragic incident involving her ex-husband, Anil Arora. Joyce explained that although they were divorced, they had started living together again over the past few years. She mentioned that Anil had a routine of sitting in the balcony every morning to read the newspapers.

On the morning of the incident, Joyce noticed Anil’s slippers in the living room, which led her to search for him in the balcony. However, he was not there. When she leaned over the balcony railing to look below, she saw a commotion, and the building’s watchman was shouting for help. This was when she realized something was terribly wrong.

As per the sources, Joyce further informed the police that Anil was not suffering from any major illness, and his health had generally been fine, apart from some knee pain. The statement highlights the shock of the incident, as there were no clear signs of distress or illness that might have indicated his intentions.

As of now, the family has not released an official statement regarding the incident.

Several videos have surfaced on social media showing Malaika Arora, her sister Amrita Arora, their former brother-in-law Arbaaz Khan, his son Arhaan Khan, and other members of the Khan family arriving at the scene following the tragic death of Anil Arora. The viral videos capture the visibly distressed family members as they gather to offer support during this difficult time.

In response to the incident, the Mumbai Police have launched a detailed investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding Anil Arora's death. The area around the residence in Bandra saw heavy police deployment to manage the situation, maintain privacy, and ensure order during this sensitive period.
