Tamil comedy-drama MAD Square hit theaters on Friday during the Ugadi festival and is already creating a buzz. The film is performing well at the box office and has already recovered its production costs in just four days at a few places.
The film had a strong start at the box office, earning around Rs 31.50 crore in its first 4 days.
According to Sacnilk, Mad Square has earned around Rs 3.35 crore net in India on its fifth day. The film's total collection stands at Rs 34.85 Cr net in India on its 5th day. However, the movie's Telugu shows had a 22.67% occupancy rate on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Surprisingly, the film is giving tough competition to Nithiin starrer Robinhood at the domestic box office. The film has earned around Rs 0.7 Cr India net on its fifth day.
Directed and written by Kalyan Shankar, the movie features an ensemble case, including Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, and Ram Nithin in lead roles. The film's music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with cinematography by Shamdat Sainudeen and editing by Navin Nooli.

The film is co-produced by Haarika Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
Mad sequel takes place a few years after the first film, Mad (2023). It's about four friends - Ashok, DD, Manoj, and Ganesh - who reunite for their friend Laddu's wedding after college. But instead of attending the wedding, they decide to take a trip to Goa. Things take a surprising turn, and they get caught up in a problem.
