After Labubu, BTS V sparks new craze for pop mart’s adorable figurine Hirono

It seems wherever BTS’ V goes, a trend is sure to follow. This time, it’s not a designer outfit or a luxury brand making headlines but a small, wide-eyed figurine named Hirono.

Fans were quick to notice the shift in V’s choice of collectable when he arrived at the airport on 4 October, en route to Paris Fashion Week.

Dressed in an oversized checkered shirt, laid-back jeans, and a loosely knotted tie, he exuded effortless charm. But what really caught the eye of ARMYs around the world was the cute little keychain hanging from his brown leather bag.

It wasn’t the usual Labubu figure fans are used to seeing. This time, it was Hirono, Pop Mart’s latest star.

Within hours, the internet was buzzing. Social media was flooded with close-up shots of the keychain, and just like that, Hirono became the new “it” collectable.

Stocks on Pop Mart’s official Chinese site sold out almost instantly, and Korean shelves were cleared just as fast.

Forbes and other global outlets quickly caught on, even dubbing Hirono “the next Labubu.” And according to Korea Economic Daily, Pop Mart isn’t missing the moment.

They’ve teamed up with CJ OnStyle to launch a limited-time collaboration in South Korea. As part of the “Come On Style” event, exclusive Hirono items will be available from 17 to 26 October.

But V wasn’t done there. While in Paris for the Celine Spring/Summer 2026 show on 5 October, he stopped by a local dessert shop and picked up a pistachio croissant.

Dressed head-to-toe in Celine, clips of him enjoying the treat quickly went viral. Soon, the humble pastry became the most talked-about food online.

The shop, La Pistacherie, soon felt the impact. After the singer’s visit, demand for the pistachio croissant soared, with the owner publicly thanking V for the unexpected boost in business.

With BTS back in the studio post-military service, a new album is on the horizon for 2026 followed by what fans hope will be a long-awaited world tour.
