K-Drama actor Rowoon's military enlistment delayed due to preliminary physical test results, re-examination to be done in August

According to reports, the actor appealed, and a reevaluation is now anticipated in early August.

South Korean actor Rowoon, best known for dramas like Extraordinary You and Destined With You, was initially slated to begin his military service as an active-duty soldier on July 21.

But according to his agency, FNC Entertainment, Rowoon had a pre-enlistment physical and received a Grade 7 re-examination notice.

His enlistment has been delayed as a result. According to reports, the actor appealed, and a reevaluation is now anticipated in early August.

The agency also mentioned that the reason for the re-examination is related to personal medical matters, which they could not disclose, and requested fans’ understanding on the matter.

Their official statement as quoted by Soompi read, "We would like to provide an update on the military enlistment schedule of our artist Rowoon. Rowoon was originally scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on July 21. However, starting this July, the Military Manpower Administration has been conducting pre-enlistment physical examinations two weeks prior to enlistment for all conscripts. During this examination, Rowoon received a Grade 7 re-examination notice."

It also further mentioned about his reassessment. "Rowoon has immediately filed an appeal and is scheduled for a reassessment in early August. He hopes to confirm that there are no issues with fulfilling his mandatory service and to enlist as an active-duty soldier as soon as possible. We will share another update once his new enlistment date has been confirmed," it read.
