Janhvi Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming romantic comedy Param Sundari alongside Sidharth Malhotra, added festive sparkle to Janmashtami celebrations this year.

Dressed in a light-hued traditional outfit, Janhvi looked radiant as she embraced the festive spirit. She wore a heavily embroidered blouse paired with a flowing skirt, completing her look with a neatly braided hairstyle adorned with intricate accessories.

Statement jewellery—a stacked necklace and chunky earrings—added a regal touch to her appearance. Fans cheered as the actress took part in the iconic ritual of breaking the Dahi Handi. Before striking the matki, Janhvi playfully asked, “Zor se marna padega?” before successfully smashing it, drawing loud applause from the crowd.

The celebration also became an opportunity for Janhvi and Sidharth to open up about their much-awaited film. Speaking about her role, Janhvi said, “Sundari is deeply personal to me. Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by such beauty, I felt an emotional connection to her world that I hope the audience will feel too.”

Sidharth Malhotra, who plays the male lead Param, added, “With Param Sundari, I feel like I’m revisiting the kind of romance I grew up loving, but telling it in a way that feels fresh and relatable. Param has that Delhi boy charm, and Kerala’s magic brought the love story alive on screen.”

Directed by Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari promises a colorful blend of cultures and emotions. The film is slated for release on August 29, and fans are already counting down the days.
