Shakira had double the reason to celebrate at the 67th Grammy Awards — not only was it her 48th birthday, but she also took home the Best Latin Pop Album award for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, marking a triumphant return after a seven-year hiatus.

Jennifer Lopez, her 2020 Super Bowl Halftime co-performer, presented her with the Grammy, creating a nostalgic reunion on the stage.

Accepting the award at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Shakira dedicated her victory to immigrants and hardworking women worldwide.

"I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters," she said. "You’re loved, you’re worth it, and I will always fight with you. And to all the women who work really hard every day to provide for their families—you are the true She-Wolves, so this is for you, too."

Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran edged out Anitta’s Funk Generation, Kali Uchis’ Orquídeas, Kany García’s García, and Luis Fonsi’s El Viaje to secure the Best Latin Pop Album win.

The album, released in 2024, was a deeply personal project for Shakira. In an earlier interview, she revealed how writing the songs helped her rebuild herself emotionally after personal struggles. "With every song that I wrote, I was rebuilding myself. It was like putting my bones back together," she told The New York Times.

In another historic moment, Shakira performed at the Grammys for the first time in 18 years. The Colombian superstar last took the Grammy stage in 2007 and made a stunning return in 2025, thrilling fans with her signature electrifying presence.
