Farhan Akhtar recently shared a glimpse of his latest trip to Ladakh on social media, hinting at an exciting project he is working on. The actor-filmmaker revealed that he is currently filming a special film in the breathtaking region.
Farhan, who previously filmed his movies "Lakshya" (2004) and "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" (2013) in the stunning Ladakh region, shared on Instagram that he is currently back in the area working on a new project with the caption, "Back in Ladakh after Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to shoot for a very special film. "Lakshya," a film set during the 1999 Kargil War, was Farhan Akhtar's second directorial effort. He also starred as the legendary sprinter Milkha Singh in the biopic "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag," directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Farhan Akhtar's most recent acting role was in the sports drama "Toofaan" (2021). As a director, his last film was "Don 2 – The King Is Back" (2011), starring Shah Rukh Khan.
He recently served as an executive producer on the Prime Video documentary "Angry Young Men," alongside his sister Zoya Akhtar, Salman Khan, and his producing partner Ritesh Sidhwani. This documentary explores the iconic writing duo of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, whose names alone were considered a guarantee of success in the 1970s and 1980s.
