Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been touring across India as part of his Dil-Luminati tour. And he reached Indore on Sunday (December 8), and while performing on stage for a packed audience, the singer addressed the issue of ticket black marketing.
Diljit Dosanjh said he cannot do much about it as it is not in the artist's hands. He also said that 'dus ka bees' has been happening for a long time, but the only difference is that earlier it was happening for movies and now it is for singer's concerts.
The ‘Lover’ singer also said that he is not linked with any black marketing of his tickets and that there are certain things that are beyond an artist's control. He said: 'mera kasoor thode hai ki tickets black ho rahi hai'
“For a long time, people in our country have been going against me, saying the tickets are being sold in black. So, it’s not my fault that the tickets are getting sold in black. If you buy a ticket for Rs. 10 and sell it for Rs. 100, then what’s the fault of the artist? I remember the poem by Rahat Indori," Diljit said in his video uploaded on his official Instagram handle.
“While reciting Indori sahab's poem, he said, Not in my cage; put it somewhere else. You’ve brought the sky; fine, you may put it on the ground. Sir, where will you go to find my killers now? Sir, where will you go to find my killers now? Do one thing: put the blame on me. So, people from the media, blame me as much as you want. I don’t have any fear of being defamed. I don’t have any tension," he said in Hindi.
“This is not something new; since the time of cinema in India, the black marketing of tickets has been going on for a long time; only the avenues have changed," he concluded.
He also extended a warm welcome to fellow singers Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon, who are also touring India.
Diljit Dosanjh started his Dil-Luminati tour from New Delhi and has performed in Jaipur, Bengaluru, and Lucknow, Kolkata, and will now move to cities like Chandigarh and Mumbai and end his tour in Guwahati.
