Tamil actor and director Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film Idli Kadai, which is set to hit theatres in April 2025. In celebration of Pongal, Dhanush recently shared two fresh posters from the movie on social media, offering fans a glimpse into the project while wishing them a joyous festival. The new posters feature intriguing visuals — one showcases Dhanush in a contemplative pose against a beautiful, scenic backdrop, while the other captures a heartwarming moment between Dhanush and his co-star Nithya Menen, who embraces him.

Idli Kadai was first announced in September 2023 by Dhanush, and the film’s title, which translates to ‘idli shop,’ piqued interest. The initial poster shared by the actor depicted a quaint roadside shack set under a starry sky on a desolate street, giving the film a nostalgic and rustic vibe. A young man is shown standing outside the shop, hinting at the central character's life revolving around the humble eatery, while another figure is seen handling goods inside the shop. This intriguing and simplistic backdrop sets the tone for the film, raising curiosity about the story and its characters.

In October 2023, Nithya Menen, who had previously collaborated with Dhanush in the hit film Thiruchitrambalam, confirmed her role in Idli Kadai, adding excitement among fans of the duo. Dhanush, who was last seen in the film Raayan, has an exciting year ahead with several other projects in the pipeline. These include Kubera, directed by Sekhar Kammula, which features Rashmika Mandanna and Akkineni Nagarjuna, as well as an untitled project with the renowned director Vetri Maaran.
