In response to this incident, the Karnataka Police issued a notice to a woman Sub-Inspector responsible for Pavithra's security.

The recent incident involving Kannada actor Pavithra Gowda has sparked significant controversy and debate. Pavithra, the prime accused in the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case, was seen wearing makeup while in police custody. This occurrence has led to severe scrutiny and disciplinary action within the police force.

Pavithra Gowda, known for her association with jailed Kannada superstar Darshan Thoogudeepa, was taken to her Bengaluru residence for recording details of the crime scene. During this visit, Pavithra was seen applying lipstick and makeup, and she was captured smiling while returning from her residence with police officials. This act has raised questions about the behaviour and leniency shown towards an accused in a serious criminal case.

In response to this incident, the Karnataka Police issued a notice to a woman Sub-Inspector responsible for Pavithra's security. The visuals of Pavithra in makeup reignited a debate regarding her perceived lack of remorse over the murder of Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan. This has led to the police department taking serious steps to address the negligence.

DCP (West) Girish stated, "Pavithra used to stay at her home every night where she had probably kept her makeup bag. The lady PSI used to go there every day in the morning to pick her up and get her to AP Nagar police station. The lady PSI could have observed this and stopped Pavithra from doing that. For this negligence, she has been issued a notice for explanation."

Pavithra Gowda has been named as accused number one in the Renukaswamy murder case, allegedly for being the instigator. Renukaswamy, a fan of actor Darshan, had sent obscene messages to Pavithra, which reportedly enraged Darshan and led to the plotting and execution of the murder. According to police sources, Renukaswamy's body was found near a storm-water drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli on June 9, after being allegedly tortured to death on June 8.

Darshan Thoogudeepa is accused number two in the case, believed to have executed the murder. Darshan, Pavithra, and 15 others have been arrested and are currently in judicial custody.

The visuals of Pavithra in makeup while in custody have stirred public emotions and opinions. Many view this as a sign of disrespect and lack of remorse for the crime she is accused of. The debate centres around whether such behaviour should be tolerated and what it signifies about the attitude of the accused towards the legal process and the victim's family.

The incident raises significant legal and ethical questions. From a legal standpoint, the behaviour of the accused in custody should reflect the seriousness of the charges against them. The use of makeup and smiling in such a context can be perceived as an affront to the judicial process and the gravity of the crime.
