Celebrity Masterchef: Winner Gaurav Khanna says, ‘There’s a new Chef Khanna in the market as Vikas Khanna is busy’

India's first celebrity MasterChef, Gaurav Khanna, conducts a special masterclass for contestants from previous seasons and Nikki Tamboli. He shares tips and techniques for creating innovative new dishes. “Chef Vikas Khanna is busy, he is a big chef. Now I am here,” Gaurav said.

Vikas then comes back to show and says, “Mere se pehle bahut KHannas aaye hai, mere baad bahut Khannas ayenge and I am very proud of it. But I am OG Khanna.”

Gaurav then reveals, “I was talking about you. I have gotten a new role where I have to emulate a hot and happening chef. Also, I am not conducting any masterclass, I am also a student.”

While talking about his journey Gaurav shared in the episode, "My Masterchef journey has been quite similar to my career. Jaise wahan par shuruwat mein takleef hui thi, yahan bhi starting mein thoda alag tha. It was a new place and I was not from here. The show was out of my comfort zone."

He further shares that he has fallen in love with the counter of Masterchef and is not able to detach himself.

He started the episode by welcoming previous Masterchef contestants like Survarna and Priyanka from season 7 and Prachi from season 8, along with Nikki Tamboli. Contestant Prachi reveals that she has always seen Gaurav on television screens and she and her mom are huge fans of his character Anuj Kapadia from Anupamaa.

Chef Vikas Khanna praised Gaurav and shared how proud he is of him. Chef Vikas and Gaurav taught the audience two recipes during the masterclass. Chef Vikas Khanna cooked 'Kiss of Kashmir' which is the most famous recipe of his restaurant Bungalow.
