Malayalam actor Vincy Aloshious reveals being harassed by co-star under drug influence: 'wasn’t easy to work with him'

Malayalam actor, Vincy Aloshious, recently shared a painful story about being harassed by a co-star who was allegedly under the influence of drugs on the set of a movie.

Her revelation comes after she previously made a public statement stating unequivocally that she would not work with actors who use drugs.

Vincy reaffirmed her concerns regarding drug use in the industry while speaking at a celebration honouring the KCYM Ernakulam-Angamaly Major Archdiocese's anniversary. She said, “If I am aware that someone is doing drugs, I will not act in any film with them."

Vincy's earlier comments, however, caused online backlash, with numerous social media users trolling her.

In a recent video, Vincy responded to the criticism by narrating a distressing event on a movie set in which the lead actor, who was reportedly intoxicated, behaved inappropriately towards her and another co-star.

Further explaining her remark she said, “I was working in a film where one of the main actors used drugs and behaved inappropriately. It wasn’t easy to work with him."

Vincy Aloshious also shared that there had been a problem with her costume, and as she was heading to get it fixed, the lead actor suddenly insisted on accompanying her and helping with the dress. She mentioned that this was said in front of everyone, which made the situation even more uncomfortable for her.

"Something white spilled from his mouth on to the table, and it was clear that he was using drugs on set. See, it’s one thing to use drugs in personal life, but to use it at your workplace, and making it uncomfortable for everyone around you is completely unacceptable," she added.

Vincy is known for her work in movies like Mischief, Kanakkam Kaamini Kalaham, Jana 2022, Padmini and Pazhanjan Pranayam.
