Addressing a question about international expansion, Vikas said, “Many people ask me why I wouldn’t expand all over the world. I feel whatever restaurant I open, I do it with bhakti. I take it as my tribute to the country. For that, it is very important for people to walk in and feel—isme rooh hai.” For Vikas, Bungalow is more than a restaurant—it is a soulful experience, a cultural offering that cannot be replicated like a business franchise.

He explained that to carry such emotion across borders, every element—from the food to the ambience—must align with the same vision. “It is not a business, it is not a shop. It has something which we cannot find anywhere else. To make that emotion transcend, you have to make sure that your food also speaks the same language, your vision speaks the same language,” he added. His belief in authenticity over expansion sets him apart in a world that often prioritizes scale over soul.
