Veteran actor Prem Chopra, who was recently admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital due to chest congestion and breathing discomfort, has now been discharged.
He was hospitalised on November 8 after his family sought immediate medical care, but doctors clarified that despite his age and pre-existing heart condition, he was never in a critical state.
Prem Chopra had also developed a viral and lung infection, for which he was kept under close observation. Fortunately, the 90-year-old actor responded well to treatment and was stable enough to return home on Saturday.
Fans and colleagues in the industry were deeply alarmed by the news of his hospitalisation. Earlier, actor Sharman Joshi, who is married to Prem Chopra's daughter Prerana, reassured everyone that he was doing well and going through his usual tests.
