Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, has celebrated Karwa Chauth miles away from her husband, Vishal Kirti. She shared a series of photos and videos from her celebration.
In the caption of her post, Shweta shared how the technology brings people together despite miles of distance. Sharing the videos, she penned in the caption, “This year, I was in India for Karwa Chauth , miles away from my husband….But thanks to technology, I still broke my fast after seeing his face on video call.”
She continued, “And in that moment, I realised… Riwaaz chahe purane ho, par unka prem aur sankalp hamesha naya lagta hai. Kabhi kabhi sochti hoon , kitni meethi hoti hain yeh paramparaayein (The customs may be old, but their love and determination always feel new. Sometimes I think, how sweet these traditions are).”
Shweta further wrote in the caption, “Some people see it as sacrifice , but mujhe yeh ek sankalp lagta hai. A sacred vow. A reminder that love is not just about receiving , it is about offering your own comfort for another’s well-being.”
She concluded her caption by writing, “And honestly, isnt that what all great spiritual paths teach? The highest form of love is when you say, “Let me carry a little discomfort so that you may walk in light.”
Sushant Singh Rajput, known for movies like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) and Kai Po Che! (2013), was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020.
The actor's passing sparked discussion about mental health and sparked several conspiracy theories among fans. However, Shweta also fought for her brother and is still trying to get in depth of his death.
