Sonam Kapoor makes first appearance after pregnancy announcement

The news that Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja are reportedly expecting their second child has already made their loved ones happy.

Although Sonam and Anand have not yet made an official announcement, reports now indicate that she is in her second trimester. However, it appears that they will soon be able to tell the world the good news.

Sonam was recently seen at her cousin Anshula Kapoor’s engagement ceremony in Mumbai, but there was something different about her this time.

Usually open and relaxed around cameras, she appeared more private and reserved. She avoided posing for pictures, and one of her team members politely asked photographers to give her some space. It was clear she wanted a little privacy, which only sparked more curiosity among onlookers.

Interestingly, Sonam arrived alone—without Anand or Vayu—quietly stepping out of the car and heading straight inside without stopping for a single photo.

Her outfit, a chic brown Indo-western combination of a long skirt, top, and blazer, struck the perfect balance between style and comfort, perhaps reflecting her current mood and the changes she’s experiencing.

A source close to the family shared with Pinkvilla, “Sonam is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, and the news has brought immense joy to both families.” It’s lovely to imagine how happy and excited everyone must be as they prepare to welcome a new member.

In August 2022, the couple, who were married in 2018, welcomed their first son, Vayu, into the world.

Adding to the speculation, Sonam recently shared some Instagram photos wearing loose, baggy clothes, which led fans to wonder if she’s trying to keep her baby bump under wraps for now.

When Moneycontrol reached out to Sonam’s team at Yash Raj Films for a comment, they politely declined to comment, keeping the family’s privacy intact for now.
