Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat hit the theatres during Diwali. Even though it was released at the same time as "Thamma," starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, the movie still managed to draw crowds and do well financially.
According to the trade website, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat earned Rs 5.75 crore net in India, taking its total to Rs 34 crore in five days.
The film had an overall 26.71% Hindi occupancy on Saturday with 12.70% Morning, 28.85% Afternoon, 29.40% Evening and 35.90% Night shows.
Despite having almost three times as many screens as Thamma, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat opened on Tuesday with box office receipts of about Rs 9 crore, which is comparable to Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
Following an initial boost from the Diwali holidays, the film continued to gain momentum. With revenue of Rs 7.5 crore on Wednesday, Rs 6 crore on Thursday, Rs 5.5 crore on Friday, and Rs 5.75 crore on Saturday, the five-day total came to approximately Rs 34 crore.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat's impressive beginning and consistent revenue have made it stand out despite the competition.
Although Sanam Teri Kasam is Harshvardhan Rane's most well-known role, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat may soon eclipse it in terms of popularity. Given the film's impressive first week performance, many are eager to see if it will become Rane's biggest solo hit.
