The much-anticipated contestant list for Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8, hosted by actor Vijay Sethupathi, has been revealed. The popular reality TV show is set to premiere on October 6 at 6 PM on Vijay TV Tamil and will also be available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.

The excitement began building when the first teaser for the show was released on September 4, confirming Vijay Sethupathi as the new host. He has taken over the reins from Kamal Haasan, who had previously hosted the show for several seasons.

While the contestants were initially set to be unveiled during the show’s premiere, the final list of participants has already been leaked, adding to the buzz surrounding the new season. As fans eagerly await the show’s launch, all eyes are on the fresh line-up of contestants and Vijay Sethupathi’s debut as the host of the popular reality series.

The contestants for this season are:

VTV GANESH

Ganesh Janardhanan, widely recognized as VTV Ganesh, is a well-known actor-comedian and producer. He made his first appearance in the 2002 film Red and gained fame through his roles in movies like Silambarasan and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.

SUNITA GOGOI

Sunita Gogoi, a prominent Tamil actress originally from Assam, debuted with Siddhu +2 and appeared in the Dhanush-led film 3. She gained household fame as the fourth runner-up in Jodi Number One Season 5 and became a popular face on Cooku With Comali.

ANSHITHA AKBARSHA

Anshitha Akbarsha entered the Tamil industry with the 2022 film Chellamma, co-starring Arnav Amjath. She captured the hearts of millions with her impressive performance in the movie.

RAVEENDRAN

Raveendran is a multi-talented figure in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries, serving as an actor, screenwriter, interior designer, anchor, and film scholar. He is also a social activist and director of the Kochi Metro (Malayalam) Short Film Fest.

RANJITH

Famous for his work in films like Kavundampalayam, August 15, and Maru Malarchi, Ranjith is currently a part of the show Baakiyalakshmi and also appeared in Senthoora Poove.

BABLOO PRITHIVEERAJ

Babloo Prithiveeraj gained widespread recognition for his roles in films like Ticket, Marshal, Pelli, and Vaaranam Aayiram. He also played a negative character in Ranbir Kapoor's 2023 hit Animal.

ARUN PRASATH

Arun Prasath became a household name for his role in Bharathi Kannamma, where he played the lead character, Bharathi. He is regarded as one of the highest-paid male actors in Tamil television.

FARINA AZAD

Farina made her debut with Azhagu in 2017 and has since appeared in popular shows like Bharathi Kannamma and Abhi Tailor. She has also participated in reality shows like Mr & Mrs Khiladis 2 and Cooku with Comali Season 5.

PAVITHRA JANANI

Best known for her role as Malar in Eeramana Rojave, Pavithra Janani holds a degree in computer science. She began her acting career with Office in 2014 and has appeared in shows such as Saravanan Meenatchi and Raja Rani.

POONAM BAJWA

Poonam Bajwa has worked across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema, with notable roles in films like Masterpiece, Romeo Juliet, Seval, and Mast Mohabbat.

VINOTH BABU

Vinoth Babu is best known for his role in Sundari Neeyum Sundaran Naanum. He recently tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Hemalatha, also known as Sindhu, in a private ceremony.

SANCHANA NAMIDASS

Sanchana Namidass, one of the youngest contestants in Bigg Boss Tamil 8, is the daughter of Namidass and Sathya. She is recognized for her roles in films like Maharaja and August 16, 1947.

DEEPAK DINKAR

Deepak Dinkar, a popular actor and anchor, has starred in TV shows like Thendral, Anni, and Thamizhum Saraswathiyum. He has also hosted programs like Jodi Number One and Dance Jodi Dance.

ALYA MANASA
