Bengaluru college sponsors a free screening of Mohanlal starrer L2: Empuraan for its students, declares a holiday

L2: Empuraan is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer set to release on March 27. A Bengaluru college has recently announced a holiday and organized a free first day screening for its students.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal starrer film L2: Empuraan is all set to hit the theatres on March 27. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of the film.

However, a Bengaluru college recently delighted Mohanlal’s fans with the latest announcement.

Bengaluru’s GoodShepherd College has recently announced March 27 as a holiday for students to celebrate the release of the film. Additionally, the college has notably sponsored a free First Day First Show for the students.

The college has also organized a special 7 am screening 7 at the Movietime Cinemas, YGR Mall, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, with free tickets exclusively for their students. The college administration recently announced, “‘Lights, Camera, Holiday!’ The reason? The institution’s chairman is a massive Mohanlal fan, so much so that he decided to celebrate Empuraan by making it a campus-wide event.”

The college administration further noted, “When passion and fandom unite, history is made! Our beloved MD, a devoted fan of Lalettan, has orchestrated a special screening of Empuraan to honor the brilliance of Mohanlal and the visionary direction of Prithviraj Sukumaran. This is more than just a film—it’s a phenomenon!"

L2: Empuraan is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film features an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Manju Warrier and Tovino Thomas. The film also features international stars like Jerome Flynn, Andrea Tivadar, and Eriq Ebouaney.

The film revolves around Stephen’s rise to power as the infamous Khureshi Ab’raam as well as the aftermath of his departure from Kerala politics at the end of Lucifer.
