Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan celebrated his birthday with a flood of wishes from industry friends and fans. Known for his lively energy and warm camaraderie with co-stars, Varun’s special day saw heartfelt and playful messages, especially from actress Ananya Panday, who called him “Mr Annoying” in a light-hearted tribute.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Ananya shared an unseen photo of Varun and captioned it, “Happy birthday Mr Annoying @varundvn.” Varun, known for his equally witty comebacks, responded saying, “Gonna celebrate with Chunky,” referring to Ananya’s father Chunky Panday. The friendly banter between the two added a humorous touch to the birthday wishes.

Actor and host Maniesh Paul also joined in the birthday celebrations by posting a warm message. He wrote, “Happy birthday to my brother from another mother. Stay blessed meri jaan! Hope we keep sharing all the secrets we do with each other for life.” To this, Varun replied, “Thank you mera bhai, see you soonest hai.”

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a dance video featuring her and Varun, celebrating their camaraderie and performances together. Her caption read, “Happy birthday @varundvn may the child in you always stay alive… curious, playful, full of wonder. Wishing you a day filled with joy and a year filled with great adventure.” Samantha and Varun, who have worked together in Citadel: Honey Bunny, received much praise for their performances in the series.

While sending love to Varun, Samantha also took a moment to reflect on her personal journey. She candidly opened up about the challenges she faced during the shoot, especially after being diagnosed with myositis, a rare autoimmune disorder that weakens muscles.

On the work front, Varun was last seen in Baby John, released on December 25, 2024. Directed by Kalees, the film is a remake of the Tamil film Theri by Atlee. Varun played the dual role of Baby John/DCP Satya Verma and reportedly took inspiration from superstar Rajinikanth’s signature style to bring a larger-than-life appeal to his character.

Additionally, Varun is set to appear in a film directed by Anurag Singh, scheduled to hit theatres on January 23, 2026. Touted to be a multi-starrer, the film also features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Reports suggest that filming for Border 2, another major project featuring Dhawan, has already begun.
