Company History - Gallantt Ispat
Gallantt Metal Limited (GML), a closely held public limited company,
was
incorporated in February 2005 having its registered office at Centre
Point,
21, Hemant Basu Sarani, 3rd Floor, Room No. 306, Kolkata- 700 001,
India .
GML has been promoted by Shri Chandra Prakash Agrawal, Shri Dinesh
R. Agarwal, Shri Nitin Kandoi and P.B. Mercantiles Pvt. Ltd.
The promoter directors of the company are in diversified business.
Shri
Chandra Prakash Agrawal had promoted Govind Mills Limited (GoML) in
1988 to set up a flour mill (18,000 tpa) at Gorakhpur (U.P.). GoML
currently
has flour mills in and around Gorakhpur with an aggregate installed
capacity
of around 2,50,000 tpa. In 1994, Shri Chandra Prakash set up a steel
unit
comprising of Induction furnace and re-rolling mill at Gorakhpur for
manufacturing of M.S. Ingot and M.S Round Bar with an installed
capacity
of 52,800 tpa under the same company. Shri Dinesh R. Agarwal, one of
the
promoters, had promoted another group company viz. M/s. Ganesh Laxmi
Processors Pvt. Ltd (GLPL) in 1993. GLPL is having dying, printing
and
processing house of Art Silk cloth at Surat with an installed
capacity of 126
lacs mtrs. p.a.
GML has been incorporated with a view to set up a steel plant at
Kutch,
Gujarat, to manufacture Sponge Iron, M.S. Billets, Re-Rolled products
(TMT
Bars) with a captive power plant. The proposed project is envisaged
to have
the following manufacturing facilities.
* Sponge Iron Plant with a capacity of 99,000 MTPA
* Steel Melt Shop: M.S. Billets via Induction Furnace & Caster
Machine Route
with a capacity of 1,76,420
MTPA
* Re-Rolled Products with a capacity of 1,68,300 MTPA.
* Captive Power Plant of 18 MW capacity
MAJOR EVENTS IN THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
The Company is incorporated in February 2005and the commercial
production
is expected to start in December 2005. There are no major events that
have
taken place since Companys incorporation.
2008

-Mr. Virendra Kumar Keshri has been appointed as Additional Director
of the Company

2011
-Registered Office of the Company has been shifted From 11, Crooked

2014
-Repayment of Debt of the Company.
2016
-Gallantt Metal Ltd has informed regarding Order of Honorable High
Court at Calcutta approving Amalgamation of Gallantt Udyog Ltd with
Gallantt Ispat Ltd.
2018
-Gallantt Metal Limited has informed the Exchange for acquisition of
GL Steel and Power Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary of the
Company.
2021
-Gallantt Group of Companies has signed in Bollywood Superstar and
Actor Shri Ajay Devgan as the Brand Ambassador to endorse its
products..
2022
-Company name has changed to Gallantt Ispat Ltd. from Gallantt Metal
Ltd..
