Jeep Compass Track Edition launched in India, priced from Rs 26.78 lakh

Jeep India has launched the new Compass Track Edition, a special-edition variant of its premium SUV, priced between Rs 26.78 lakh and Rs 30.58 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the top-spec Model S, the limited-run Track Edition adds distinctive exterior detailing and refreshed interiors while retaining the Compass' core capability and performance credentials.

Design and Interiors

The Compass Track Edition stands out with a new hood decal, Piano Black detailing on the grille, badges and mouldings, and exclusive Track Edition insignia. It also gets 18-inch diamond-cut Tech Grey alloy wheels and contrasting Spruce Beige highlights for a more assertive road presence.

Inside, the cabin features Tupelo leatherette seats, Smoke Chrome finishes, and Spruce Beige contrast stitching, along with embossed Jeep branding and Track Edition floor mats. The SUV also includes a Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel and Piano Black inserts to enhance the premium look.

Powertrain Options

The Track Edition continues with the familiar 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine that produces 170hp of max power and 350Nm of peak torque. It is available with 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic transmissions, offered in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Jeep says the nine-speed automatic delivers seamless shifts, improved fuel economy, and strong performance.

Features and Safety

The model comes equipped with a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 10.25-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated leather seats with memory function, and an Alpine audio system.

Safety equipment includes over 50 standard and available safety features, such as four-channel ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, advanced brake assist, hill start assist, all-speed traction control, and a rear seat reminder alert.
