Returning from Sharm El Sheikh on Tuesday, the US President took issue not with the story in TIME Magazine, but with the picture they chose of him. On his Truth Social platform, he complained that the cover photo made it look as if “they ‘disappeared’ my hair” and showed “something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.” He went on to write, “Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”
TIME released the cover while Donald Trump was in Israel, where he addressed the Knesset and met families of released hostages before heading to Egypt. Despite blasting what he called “may be the Worst of All Time” photograph, Trump surprisingly noted that TIME had produced “a relatively good story about me.”
The magazine feature focused on the recent Gaza ceasefire, crediting the effort to Trump’s team, including envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner, whose “painstaking efforts” were highlighted. TIME suggested that the truce could turn into a signature achievement of Trump's second term, potentially marking a shift from war to what it described as a “new era” based on regional stability and rebuilding.

During the summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Trump pledged continued support for ending violence and planning long-term reconstruction in Palestinian areas. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi voiced support for Trump’s role in the talks, stating that “only you” can bring peace to the Middle East. Speaking to regional leaders, Trump urged them to move beyond old disputes and seize what he called “a once-in-a-lifetime chance” to resolve historic divisions.
