Congress general secretary and its Madhya Pradesh unit in charge Deepak Babaria said the two leaders would meet to work out the modalities for fulfilling the promises made by the party to the people of Madhya Pradesh before coming to power.

Remarks of Nath, who currently holds the post of the state party president, came at a time when many contenders are eyeing the post.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party was set for a resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly elections to retain power for a third term.

"Now, he (Modi) does not talk about farmers and youths. He is now talking about the CAA and Pakistan to divert people's attention from these issues," the chief minister said.

However, former chief minister and senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan hailed the Budget proposals.

The Congress government in the state is increasing the amount of monthly stipend to Rs 5,000 from Rs 4,000, while the days of employment will be increased to 365 days from 100 days earlier

He was speaking to reporters at the Swami Vivekanand Airport here in Chhattisgarh where he is attending the 22nd meeting of the Central Zonal Council.

"There is no country in the world like India, which has so much of diversity. We have so many religions, castes, languages and festival. We have unity in diversity, which is the result of the culture of brotherhood. It is because of that, India stands united under one flag," Nath said.
