Wipro launches Lab45 AI platform, to increase efficiency, transform business functions

Lab45 AI platform is available to all Wipro employees and clients.

Information technology company Wipro on June 11 announced the launch of the Lab45 Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform, which leverages Generative AI (Gen AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning technologies to enable companies to enhance efficiencies, transform business functions, and enable industry-specific solutions.

“Lab45 is Wipro’s Innovation Lab and the Lab45 AI platform is available to all Wipro employees and clients,” the company said in a release to the exchanges.

The platform allows seamless integration of language and visual processing for generating images from text prompts, as well as the ability to index, parse, and summarise content.

The platform launched by Wipro assumes significance as just last week, its larger rival Tata Consultancy Services launched a platform to help aggregate multiple Gen AI services into a single interface and enable organisations to rapidly adopt next-gen technologies at scale.

With over 1,000 Gen AI agents and more than 10 Gen AI applications, the Lab45 Artificial Intelligence platform offers no code and low code pre-built applications in areas such as human resource (HR), sales, marketing, and operations functions.

It also allows easy creation of industry specific Gen AI agents and applications.

The AI platform runs on a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model and supports various state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLM’s) from leading providers as well as custom deep-learning and other models.

With Application Programming Interface (API)-based access for custom applications, the platform makes it easier for clients to deploy Gen AI to their environments. In fact, select Wipro teams and external users have been using the platform over the past six months and have seen significant productivity gains and time savings.

For example, in quality engineering and testing, recent proof of concepts (PoCs) for Wipro customers in banking, pharmaceutical, telecommunication and other industries globally have shown anywhere from 20-30 percent improvements across test case, test script, and test result analytics.
