Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has introduced its latest budget smartphone in India, dubbed the Vivo T4R 5G. It is the latest addition to Vivo’s T series, sitting alongside the Vivo T4, Vivo T4x, Vivo T4 Lite, and Vivo T4 Ultra. The T4R 5G also shares a lot of similarities with the recently launched iQOO Z10R and offers IP68 + IP69 ratings for improved dust and water resistance.

Vivo T4R 5G: Price, availability

The Vivo T4R 5G has a starting price of Rs 17,499 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs 19,499 and Rs 21,499, respectively. The device will be available for purchase via the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart, and select offline retail stores starting August 5. It is offered in blue and silver colour shades.

As part of the launch offers, the Vivo T4R 5G comes with a flat Rs 2,000 instant discount with HDFC Bank and Axis Bank cards or a Rs 2,000 exchange bonus.

The Vivo T4R 5G comes with a 6.77-inch Full-HD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of up to 1,800 nits. Vivo claims it is the slimmest smartphone in India with a quad-curved display. Further, the handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the Vivo T4R 5G has a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2MP megapixel bokeh camera at the rear. For selfies and video calls, it has a 32MP sensor at the front. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. The Vivo T4R 5G has a 5,700mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone weighs 183.5 g.
