In a major global play, China’s Realme is taking its India-first P Series international, marking its first worldwide rollout of a smartphone line developed initially for the Indian market.

Buoyed by the strong performance of the realme P1, launched in April 2024 and surpassing 1 million online sales, the company is now launching the realme P3 Series globally. The new lineup promises flagship-level performance and features at competitive prices, focusing on young, online-first users.

“In April of last year, the realme P1 made its debuted in the Indian market. The new product line quickly took the online markets by storm with its exceptional value, setting a record of over a million units sold. Since then, I’ve frequently received questions and curiosity with this new series: What is realme P Series and who is it aimed at? Will it be launched outside of India? After a year, I believe it's now the perfect time to provide everyone with the answer,” Founder and CEO Sky Li said in an open letter posted on the company’s X account.

Targeting the mid-range segment, the P Series aims to break what Realme calls the "impossible triangle" of performance, imaging, and design trade-offs for value-conscious users.

“The P series will keep bringing in flagship-level performance, delivering top-notch innovations in chipsets, batteries, cooling, AI, and gaming for its price range. We’ll also capitalize on realme's strengths in imaging design, adding camera features that truly resonate with young users, along with a sleek, distinctive aesthetic,” Li noted.

Realme is also strengthening its global e-commerce push by deepening partnerships with major platforms including Flipkart, Amazon, Shopee, Ozon, Yandex Market, AliExpress, Mercado Libre, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Temu.

“We have moved beyond wild growth, developed tailored e-commerce sales and after-sales service systems for different markets, and established a solid foundation for local user engagement. Today, we are more mature, better equipped, and have forged deeper connections with our users -- all of which will enable us to do even better,” Li added.

The global P3 Series lineup includes the Realme P3 Ultra 5G, P3 Pro 5G, P3 5G, and P3x 5G—offering segment-first features such as a massive 6000 mAh battery and IP69 water resistance. To celebrate the launch, Realme will offer limited-time deals on the P3 series from June 20 to 22.

Moneycontrol reported recently that Realme is also aggressively targeting the mid-to-premium smartphone segment in India, aiming to boost its market share by 50% in 2025. This is even as the broader market braces for a contraction after two years of growth.

The company is betting big on its flagship GT series and its popular number series to drive growth in the second half of the year, especially during the festive Diwali season.

“Our growth in the Indian market is definitely a must for us, and we're decisive in achieving it. Even though the overall smartphone market is shrinking, we're actually getting growth in India. That shows recognition for Realme in India,” said Chase Xu, Vice President and CMO of Realme.

Realme has set an ambitious target of raising its market share from 12% in 2024 to 18% in 2025. According to IDC, it held a 10.6% share in the January–March quarter of 2025, up from 9.8% a year ago and climbing to the third spot from fourth in the previous quarter.
