Samsung has been pushing Galaxy AI to all its devices and not limiting it to smartphones, tablets and PCs. The company has also integrated AI features within the Health and fitness products as well as Home AI and other connected devices.
We got a chance to discuss the importance of Galaxy AI as a whole product within the Samsung ecosystem, especially when it comes to devices other than smartphones with JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia.
On how Samsung is incorporating its Galaxy AI technology beyond smartphones, Park highlighted the growing role of AI in the broader Samsung ecosystem, especially in wearables, health and wellness, and IoT-enabled devices.
Samsung’s vision for Galaxy AI across the ecosystem
While the focus has traditionally been on smartphones, Samsung sees Galaxy AI as an integral part of a larger, connected ecosystem. “AI is a platform that is set to change the entertainment, lifestyle, and workplace,” Park explained, noting that the integration of AI technology into various devices enhances user experience. However, he emphasised that health and wellness are critical areas where Galaxy AI will have a significant impact in the future.

Park also pointed out that wearables will play a pivotal role in Galaxy AI’s mission to assist with health monitoring. “There are areas that help monitoring and also assisting for the wellness of the individual or your family,” he added. The technology’s ability to track and provide insights into the well-being of users, including the elderly or those who cannot be closely monitored, is one of the key benefits Galaxy AI offers.
Expanding Galaxy AI to connected home and IoT appliances
The integration of Galaxy AI is not just limited to wearables. Samsung’s ecosystem approach also extends to connected home setups and IoT-enabled appliances. The idea is to leverage AI to create a seamless experience, where all devices—whether smartphones, wearables, or smart home appliances—work in unison to enhance users' daily lives. Home AI is one of the biggest examples of this where Samsung integrated the AI features within its refrigerator that suggest recipes based on the ingredients available. Something many people will appreciate and will make things easier for them to decide what to cook. The feature also helps with the recipe and the process of cooking.
Galaxy AI and its future in the Samsung ecosystem
Samsung’s long-term vision for Galaxy AI reflects its commitment to creating a holistic and intelligent ecosystem. By expanding AI capabilities across various devices, from wearables to IoT appliances, Samsung is shaping the future of consumer electronics and wellness, with health care being a major focus for future development. As Park summed up, "This is an area that will significantly develop in the future with the help of multiple devices working together."
