Nothing has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Phone (3a) Lite, a device positioned to bring the brand’s core design language and software experience to a wider audience. The company has also introduced a new Blue colour option, joining the existing Black and White variants. The focus with this model is on making the Nothing experience more approachable, while retaining the familiar visual identity and feature set that have defined its recent devices
Nothing Phone 3a Lite FeaturesThe transparent design returns in a more subtle form, with a glass finish and an internal aluminium battery frame that contributes to durability. The Blue variant offers a fresh look in the series, while the overall design stays aligned with Nothing’s approach of balancing visual appeal with practicality. The phone features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. With up to 3000 nits peak HDR brightness and 1300 nits outdoor brightness, the panel is tuned for clear visibility in different lighting conditions. The inclusion of 10-bit colour depth and 2160 Hz PWM dimming adds consistency and reduces flicker during extended use.
Nothing has built the camera system around a 50 MP main sensor that works with the company’s TrueLens Engine 4.0. The large 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor allows more light capture, supporting modes such as Ultra XDR, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Macro Mode and Motion Capture. The camera also supports 4K recording at 30 fps. A 16 MP front camera is present for selfies and video calls, keeping the setup straightforward.
Performance and softwareThe Phone (3a) Lite uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset built on a 4 nm process. It is paired with 8 GB RAM, with the option to extend up to 16 GB using virtual RAM. Storage can be expanded up to 2 TB through a microSD card. Connectivity includes dual 5G, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The device runs Nothing OS 3.5 on Android 15, with features like Smart Drawer, Private Space, App Locker and offline Essential Search. Nothing promises three years of Android updates and six years of security patches, with Nothing OS 4.0 arriving in early 2026.
Battery and chargingThe 5000 mAh battery is supported by 33 W fast charging, reaching around half charge in roughly 20 minutes. The phone also includes 5 W reverse wired charging for accessories. With software and chipset optimisations, Nothing says it should last close to two days on mixed usage.
