Google has announced a new image generation feature in Google Docs, powered by its advanced Gemini AI model. This development follows the recent launch of full-bleed cover images in Google Docs and AI-generated images in Google Slides, providing users with even more creative options. “Now you can create photorealistic images of people, landscapes, and more with even better detail than before,” said Google in a blog post.
Leveraging Google’s latest Imagen 3 model, Gemini offers the ability to generate high-quality, photorealistic images directly within Google Docs. This text-to-image AI model allows users to create detailed visuals, said Google.
How to create AI images in Docs?
To create inline images, you can simply type your prompt into Create an image, and Gemini in Docs will generate the image based on your instruction. “Plus, you can decide the aspect ratio you want the image to be and choose a style like photography, water colour and more,” said Google.
“The ability to generate unique images with Gemini in Docs empowers everyone, regardless of artistic skill, to create differentiated and visually compelling content,” said Google.
The image generation feature is available for Google Workspace customers with these add-ons:Gemini Business, Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium, and Google One AI Premium users.
The feature has been rolled out today but Google said it is a gradual roll out, so it may take up to 15 days for it to get integrated.
