As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate following recent military confrontations, Indian internet users are turning to Google for real-time updates on the evolving situation. Searches related to key locations such as Karachi Port and the capital cities of both nations have surged, reflecting widespread public concern over the developments. In addition to geopolitical queries, sports events and local news were also on the search menu.

From cricket match updates to geopolitical developments, Google search trends in India over the past 24 hours reflect a wide range of public interest. A sharp rise in queries around the Karachi Port, the S-400 missile system, and cities like Jaisalmer and Quetta indicates growing attention on both local and cross-border developments. Sports events, particularly cricket and football, also dominated user searches.

The most searched term was “Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match scorecard”, which crossed over 1 million searches following the IPL 2025 game. The query spiked by over 1,000%, underscoring the continuing popularity of cricket in India.

Terms such as “Karachi Port,” “Pakistan capital,” and “Quetta” also trended, likely due to ongoing regional developments and tensions. Additionally, searches for “S-400” and “AWACS” — both linked to air defence systems — registered high spikes, indicating a rise in public curiosity around military topics.

Meanwhile, Indian cities like Jaisalmer and Chandigarh also featured in the top trends, possibly due to tourism or local news coverage.

Football enthusiasts contributed to trends like “Fiorentina vs Real Betis”, “Chelsea vs Djurgården”, and “Bodø/Glimt vs Tottenham”, all of which surged as international matches unfolded overnight.
