Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is coming to Macs

CD Projekt Red is ready to bring the Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition to Apple Silicon-powered Mac devices early next year. The Polish video game studio, most famous for its The Witcher series of third-person role-playing games based on author Andrzej Sapkowski’s character Geralt of Rivia, made the announcement in a website post.

“Taking full advantage of Apple silicon and advanced technologies of Metal, the world of the dark future is available to Mac gamers for the very first time”, CD Projekt Red developers announced on the website.

The Mac devices compatible with the Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition include the new iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro, powered by Apple's M4 family of chips.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on Mac will feature "path tracing, frame generation, and built-in Spatial Audio”.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition will launch on the Mac App Store in early 2025. The developers said in the website post that the release date for Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on Mac will be revealed later.

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition: Contents

The Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition contains the base game (Cyberpunk 2077) and its Phantom Liberty expansion pack/DLC. Phantom Liberty is a paid DLC that needs to be purchased separately if you only have the Cyberpunk 2077 base game. To be able to play the Phantom Liberty expansion pack, you must have the Cyberpunk 2077 base game.

Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion pack is a "spy-thriller adventure" set in a new area of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe called Dogtown. In Phantom Liberty, you'll reprise the role of mercenary V in a brand new storyline.
