Apple is expected to launch its smallest tablet – iPad mini 7 – later this month. While the company hasn’t yet announced the specifics about the upcoming tablet, leaks and rumours have revealed almost everything that’s there to know about it. For those unaware, the iPad mini 6 is now three years old and was launched in September 2021. Here’s everything that you need to know about the iPad mini 7.

According to Mark Gurman, Apple could unveil the latest iPad mini sometime in October. The exact launch timeline is not available.

The iPad mini 7 is expected to retain the pricing of its predecessor, the iPad mini 6, which starts at $499 which is approximately Rs 45,000.

Apple iPad mini 7 is expected to feature the A17 Pro processor, a step up from the A15 chip found in the 6th-gen model. Some rumours also highlight that Apple may bring the M-series chip to iPad mini. However, that seems to be unlikely. Irrespective of the chip, the upcoming iPad will support Apple Intelligence features. The tablet is also expected to come with more RAM and improved battery life.

The iPad mini 7 will reportedly retain the 8.3-inch screen size. There may be improvements in display technology to address the "jelly scrolling" issue found in earlier models, although no OLED or ProMotion screen upgrades are expected in this generation. Additional features, such as a refreshed colour palette and other minor adjustments, could be introduced.
