Yograj Singh, father of legendary cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has once grabbed headlines for his criticism on MS Dhoni. Yograj, who has represented India in one Test and six ODIs, has repeatedly lashed out at the former India captain, accusing him of sabotaging his son's career. Yograj in his latest attack remarked that he'll never "forgive" the former wicketkeeper-batter. "I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life - first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids," said Yograj in an interaction with Zee Switch YouTube channel.

“That man has ruined my son’s life, who could have played for four to five more years. I challenge everyone to have a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said that there will never be another Yuvraj Singh,” he added.

Yograj also endorsed that Yuvraj should be conferred with the Bharat Ratna - India’s highest civilian award. “India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing through cancer and winning the World Cup for the country,” he said.

Meanwhile, the attacks were not just limited to Dhoni as Yograj also dragged India's first World Cup-winning skipper Kapil Dev's name during the interaction. “The greatest captain of our time, Kapil Dev… I told him, I’ll leave you in a position where the world would curse you. Today, Yuvraj Singh has 13 trophies, and you have only one, the World Cup. End of discussion,” he said.

If we look into the past Yograj's animosity towards Dhoni has been long running, using social media and interviews as tools to express his grievances against the former Indian captain.

Yograj had previously claimed that Dhoni's "jealousy" towards Yuvraj led to the Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) defeat in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). "CSK lost IPL 2024. Why did they lose? It's whatever you sow, so shall you reap. Yuvraj Singh is the ICC Ambassador, hats off to him! And this jealous Dhoni, where is he? He didn't even shake hands with Yuvraj, and that is the reason why CSK failed this year," Yograj had claimed in a viral video.

Despite the criticism, Dhoni remains as one of the most popular and respected figures in Indian cricket. His leadership and contributions to the Indian team have earned him a massive following. Apart from his contributions to the Indian team, the wicketkeeper-batter has been a prominent figure in the lucrative Indian Premier League and has led CSK to five titles.
