Shubman Gill-led Team India, currently engaged in a five-match Test series against England, made great use of their time in Manchester, where they play their fourth Test. The Indian unit paid a visit to Old Trafford football stadium, where they spent quality time with Manchester United players.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer, who was not considered for the tour, had his own memorable moment in Spain. Welcomed warmly by FC Barcelona, the stylish batter received a custom jersey and a VIP tour of Camp Nou, the home stadium of the Catalan club. It may not have been the team huddle he expected this summer, but Iyer certainly wasn’t short on admiration — just in a different sport.
The Spanish football powerhouse shared a video of the visit, which showcase Iyer's enthusiasm as he learned about the club's illustrious history. Iyer can be seen admiring Barcelona's rich trophy cabinet in the video.
