Jay and Mahhi are likely to announce their divorce soon

One of the most popular couples on Indian television, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, are said to have divorced after 15 years of marriage. The couple reportedly filed for divorce in the middle of 2025, and the process was finished by August.

Although neither has made an official declaration, rumours indicate that Khushi, Rajveer, and Tara's custody issues have been resolved peacefully.

The romance between Jay and Mahhi started in 2009 when they met at a party hosted by a mutual friend. When fate reunited them at a nightclub a year later, their bond grew stronger.

Mahhi was Jay's first girlfriend, he once disclosed. On December 31, 2009, the actor asked her to marry him, beginning a wonderful journey.

After being married in 2010, their relationship swiftly rose to the top of the television industry. When they took part in the well-known dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2012–2013, their chemistry was evident on the show.

The duo won the crown thanks to their well-planned performances and strong emotional bond.

In 2017, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij made the decision to welcome Khushi and Rajveer, the children of their housekeeper, into their home and hearts.

Both children have lived with them in Mumbai ever since, despite allegations that the adoption was not officially recognised.

They completed their family in 2019 when they welcomed Tara, their biological daughter, two years later.

Fans started to notice in 2024 that Jay and Mahhi were seldom ever spotted together online or in public. As a couple, their social media activity declined, leading to rumours of a falling out.

In an interview, Mahhi strongly addressed the divorce rumours that surfaced earlier this year, stating, "Even if it is the case, why should I inform you? Are you my uncle? Will you cover my attorney's fees?"

She continued by saying that people frequently make snap judgements without knowing what goes on behind closed doors. Reports continued to indicate that the two were becoming more distant despite her reaction.

Jay and Mahhi's divorce was finalised between July and August 2025, according to the Hindustan Times.

According to reports, the couple have agreed on child custody. Since then, Mahhi has relocated to a new apartment and started working again, concentrating on her acting career.

In contrast, Jay recently travelled to Japan to spend time with children Tara and Khushi.
