Pradeep Ranganathan gets his third 100 Crore film

After his newest romantic comedy, Dude, was a huge hit, actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan is at the top of his game. This is Keerthiswaran's first time directing, and the movie stars Mamitha Baiju and Pradeep. It has done quite well at the box office, making more than Rs 100 crore in just six days.

Pradeep delivered a moving video message on his X (formerly Twitter) account to mark the event. The actor spoke Tamil to show how happy he was and to thank his fans for always being there for him.

Three blockbuster movies

Pradeep Ranganathan has only made three movies so far, but he's already done something that not many new Tamil directors have done: he's made a number of hits that are worth Rs 100 crore.

His first movie, Love Today (2022), made Rs 107 crore over the world. His second movie, Dragon (2025), did significantly better, making Rs 150.52 crore around the world.

Pradeep directed the hit movie Comali in 2019 before he became a full-time performer. He was in a little part of the movie, which starred Jayam Ravi.

Dude story:

Agan (Pradeep) and Kural (Mamitha Baiju) have been friends since they were kids, but their bond is tested when Kural asks Agan to marry him. In the beginning, it's a happy love story, but then things get serious when long-hidden family truths come to light.

Sarathkumar and Rohini also have prominent roles in the movie, which critics have lauded for its mix of humor, emotion, and sharp writing.
