Australia are celebrating the first anniversary of their 2023 ODI World Cup win as they lifted their sixth ODI WC title with a dominant win over India in the final last year on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While it's a heart-breaking date for the Indians fans, it is a celebrating one for the Australia cricket and it's history.

Pat Cummins-led Australia crushed dreams of countless Indian fans and Marnus Labuschagne has rubbed salt over the wounds with a social media post.

In the final, Labuschagne scored an unbeaten 58 with Travis Head who was crushing the Indian bowlers from the other end to finish the final. Marnus has now reshared the picture of him and Head lifting the trophy writing 'Memories'.

On November 20, 2023, Labuschagne tweeted 'Good morning Australia' following the day the World Cup win and celebrations. Head and Labuschagne formed up a partnership 192 runs to silent the Ahmedabad crowd in India. Head was awarded player of the match for his match-winning knock of 137 runs off just 120 balls.

This year in the T20 World Cup, India got a sweet revenge over Australia by knocking them out in the super 8 stage but the WTC final and ODI World Cup final loss will pinch the Indian cricket fans.

"It's going to be important for all of us," Labuschagne told to Espncricinfo ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

"I think the way we play, we're at our best when we're playing the long game. We understand that getting them back for their second and third spells, putting them under pressure and letting them come to us and us putting pressure back on them through overs in the field and time in the game, especially over a five-Test series, that's really important. Because as you get into the third, fourth, fifth Test, if they're trying to play the same team, and those bowlers are rolling into 100, 150, 200 overs by the third Test, it's going to make a big difference in the series," he added.
