Ravindra Jadeja is a player no franchise would want to part with. No wonder Chennai Super Kings have preserved the all-rounder for 12 years, besides the two-year suspension of the franchise in 2016-17. Jadeja has scored only two IPL 50s due to lack of opportunities to rescue his team down the order. The top-order has mostly finished the job for MS Dhoni's side. However, his bowling and fielding figures have been excellent. Jadeja was also the highest paid retention for CSK ahead of the 2022 IPL.

Ravindra Jadeja's best IPL performance: Bowling

Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has 152 wickets, including a five-for, in IPL. His best performance, 5/16, came against the now-defunct Deccan Chargers in 2012. His 4/11 to choke the Rajasthan Royals in the 2015 edition of the IPL is also one of his most talked-about performances as a spinner. He's easily among the more experienced top bowlers in the CSK.

Ravindra Jadeja's best IPL performance: Batting

Jadeja's best IPL season with the bat came in 2009 when he represented Rajasthan Royals. The southpaw scored 295 runs in that season with a best score of 42. It took 11 more years to register his first 50 as a CSK player in IPL 2020, followed by another the next season.

Jadeja has hit 193 boundaries and 99 sixes in addition to 97 catches across 226 IPL matches.

Ravindra Jadeja's best IPL performance: Fielding

Being an electric fielder, Jadeja has barely dropped catches. It is one of the primary reasons every franchise wants to field him. The all-rounder has taken 97 catches in the IPL.

In IPL 2022, Dhoni had handed CSK leadership duties to Jadeja for eight matches, but that affected his game, and the franchise could not get the desired results with the change of guard. Dhoni returned as captain and led the team to the fifth title in 2023.
